Lara Jones
Homepage Twitter Instagram BandcampLara Jones is a London based experimental producer, saxophonist, keyboardist and lyricist, that creates high energy pulsating electronics and jazz harmonies that weave into electronic grime and a web of arpeggiated synths, basses and glitchy beats in Ableton Live.
In addition to her artist work Lara has created an accessible, immersive, cinematic audio visual experience, originally co commissioned by Jerwood Arts and Manchester Jazz Festivall. Audiences were invited to step inside a geodesic dome designed to create a relaxation experience, surrounded by visuals, essential oils, soft furnishing and sounds composed by Lara with frequencies, panning techniques and harmonies to create a calming experience, where people can pause and reflect. This was originally presented in both Leeds and Manchester Piccadilly train station with over 1000 people having experienced the dome. She is now working to expand this to more spaces including presenting the dome at Sonica festival with Cryptic Glasgow in September 2024 with a new ambient release on Lo Recordings.
